“…They’re keys! Winged keys.”
This is my first tattoo. I got it done at Moo Tattoo in Philadelphia, PA.
It’s a winged key, not to be mistaken for a dragonfly or, as my mom put it, a ‘translucent butterfly’. It’s concept art from the first Harry Potter movie from the scene where Harry has to catch the winged key in order to get through the door to reach the Sorcerer’s Stone (well, he, Ron, and Hermione have to play chess first, but you get the point).
I’ve loved Harry Potter for a little over a decade, and this is my representation of my love for the series.

Took this because Harry Potter is my childhood. I also believe that every story has a happy ending.

this was my first tattoo. it represents the idea of flying around with no direction, like a balloon, but it also represents the 1956 french movie le ballon rouge in which a red balloon starts to follow a little boy around paris. the other kids become really jealous and one day destroy his new friend. the film ends as the other balloons in paris come to see the little boy and then take him on a tour ride over the city.
this little story is very meaningful for me, as it’s about how hard it can be to be different from the others, even when it’s not your choice. i could spend days talking about my tattoo, i simple love it and it has a thousand meanings behind it! ink by eva parisi in curitiba, brazil (august 27th, 2011).
